SDET Senior Test Specialist

Job Summary

The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests to ensure the quality and functionality of our software products. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to identify test requirements, create test plans, and automate test scripts.

Key Responsibilities

1. Designing, developing, and implementing automated tests for apis and web services.
2. Identifying, analyzing, and documenting defects and issues in software applications.
3. Collaborating with cross functional teams to understand requirements and develop effective testing strategies.
4. Creating test cases, scripts, and scenarios for automated testing.
5. Conducting performance and load testing on apis and web services.
6. Providing technical guidance and support to junior team members.
7. Participating in agile development processes and continuous integration practices.

Skill Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with modern automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or Appium.
  • Experience designing and maintaining scalable, reusable test automation frameworks.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript (or similar languages such as Java or Python).
  • Experience with API testing using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or SoapUI.
  • Ability to validate data using SQL or other querying tools.
  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git-based workflows).
  • Experience with Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence).

Other Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience in QA Automation or Software Development in Test (SDET) roles, within customer facing applications web and mobile applications.
  • Strong understanding of software testing principles, including functional and non-functional, usability, regression, and integration testing.
  • Hands-on experience with modern automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or Appium.
  • Experience designing and maintaining scalable, reusable test automation frameworks.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript (or similar languages such as Java or Python).
