Job Summary
Basic Purpose: Certified Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) backend developer to work with a team of front-end and backend developers in designing solutions and building templates, components, and integrations in AEM for QuestDiagnostics.com and other Quest Diagnostics marketing websites. Backend development skills are a must; full-stack (front-end and backend) skills preferred. The candidate will also partner with product owners, testers, and vendors as needed to create web experiences that advance Quest as an industry and technology leader. Required skills and experience: AEM development; Java/J2EE; custom integrations development (e.g., web services, APIs, GraphQL); HTML5, CSS/SASS, JavaScript, jQuery; Java Content Repository (JCR) and Apache Sling. Understanding of AI/machine learning principles and their application in development. Experience with Python highly desirable. Familiarity with headless CMS architectures and consuming APIs. Experience with front-end build tools (e.g., Webpack, Node.js) and CI/CD pipelines. Strong understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD pipeline automation. Experience designing and building applications based on microservices architecture. Knowledge of secure coding practices (e.g., OWASP Top 10). Experience successfully integrating AEM websites with external databases, pulling content from external sources and integrating with authored content on AEM web pages. Experience customizing content based on geolocation. Experience with search engine integration. Experience with LucidWorks SAAS solution and Lucene a plus. Experience migrating websites from WordPress or other platforms to AEM a plus. Experience with AEM Multisite Manager and Language Copy to create multilingual sites a plus. Experience keeping AEM up to date with service pack updates, to ensure reliability and security of the platform. Excellent problem-solving skills and proven ability to systematically debug problems and isolate root cause.
