Job Summary

AEM Operations Lead

Role Summary

Lead and coordinate multiple Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) teams, ensuring successful delivery of technical solutions, operational excellence, platform stability, and alignment with business objectives. Act as the primary point of accountability for AEM delivery, resource planning, release governance, and cross-team collaboration.

Team Leadership & Management

  • Manage and coordinate AEM development/support teams.
  • Define team objectives, priorities, and delivery roadmaps.
  • Conduct resource planning, workload balancing, and capacity management.
  • Mentor team leads, developers, and support engineers.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and adoption of best practices across teams.

Technical Delivery Oversight

  • Own delivery of all AEM-related technical initiatives.
  • Review solution designs, architecture decisions, and implementation approaches.
  • Ensure deliverables meet quality, security, performance, and scalability standards.
  • Monitor project progress, risks, dependencies, and technical debt.
  • Drive adherence to development and deployment standards.

AEM Platform Operations

  • Ensure availability, reliability, and performance of AEM environments.
  • Oversee incident, problem, and change management processes.
  • Manage production support activities and service-level commitments.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities, upgrades, patches, and platform enhancements.
  • Ensure operational readiness for releases and deployments.

Release & Environment Management

  • Govern deployment schedules across environments.
  • Coordinate releases between development, QA, UAT, and production.
  • Ensure proper testing, validation, and rollback procedures.
  • Manage environment health and configuration consistency.

Governance & Process Improvement

  • Establish and enforce delivery governance frameworks.
  • Define and track KPIs, SLAs, and operational metrics.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational and client standards.

Vendor & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Collaborate with architects, product owners, QA teams, DevOps teams, and infrastructure teams.
  • Coordinate external vendors and third-party service providers when required.
  • Resolve cross-team dependencies and delivery blockers.

Skill Requirements

Technical Knowledge

  • Adobe Experience Manager (Sites, Assets, Dispatcher, Workflows).
  • AEM Cloud Service or AMS/on-prem environments.
  • Java, OSGi, Sling, JCR.
  • CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
  • Dispatcher and CDN configurations.
  • Performance optimization and troubleshooting.
  • ITIL-based operational processes.
  • Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
