Job Summary

AI Cloud Engineer having experience around (8+ years) primarily focused on designing, implementing, and managing scalable and secure cloud infrastructure and applications using a wide range of GCP services. This role goes beyond general cloud engineering by leveraging specific GCP offerings to build cloud-native solutions that meet business and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

GCP Services-Focused Responsibilities

  • Design and architect cloud solutions using core GCP services such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine (GKE), App Engine, and Cloud Functions for scalable compute workloads.
  • Implement and manage storage and database services like Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, and Firestore to handle data storage, processing, and analytics.
  • Configure and optimize networking components including VPC, Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud CDN, and Cloud VPN to ensure secure, efficient connectivity.
    Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Docker & Cloud Build for CI/CD pipelines.
  • Monitor and maintain performance and reliability with Cloud Operations Suite, logging, and error reporting.
  • Ensure cloud security by enforcing Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies, Cloud Security Command Center, VPC Service Controls, and Shielded VMs.
  • Implement high availability, disaster recovery, backup strategies, and cost optimization across GCP resources.
  • Collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams to integrate cloud services seamlessly into business applications and workflows.

Skill Requirements

  • Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform services and architecture best practices.
  • Proficiency in container orchestration (Kubernetes, GKE) and serverless computing.
  • Familiarity with cloud networking, security configurations, and compliance standards.
  • Expertise in any automation scripting (Python, Bash) & IaC frameworks for deployment and operational efficiency.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex cloud environment issues and optimize resource usage for cost and performance.

Other Requirements

Qualifications & Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT/ Engineering/MBA or other management qualification.
  • GCP Associate Engineer / Architect Certification
  • Kubernetes Certification [CKA CKAD etc.]
