Job Summary

The Solution Principal I is a client-facing leader responsible for the commercial success, solution strategy, and delivery oversight of modernization and AI transformation engagements. This role bridges consulting, sales, architecture, and delivery—owning opportunities from qualification through execution while building trusted relationships with client executives.

As the entry point into the Principal track, this role requires a balance of business development, technical credibility, and leadership, with accountability for growing a portfolio of opportunities and delivering successful client outcomes.

Drives design of integrated business-and-technology solutions for large or complex deals. Ensures soundness, scalability, and value through co-sell motions with partners.Advises pursuit teams on deal strategy and competitive differentiation, engaging directly with clients to validate solution decisions and support closures.


Applies deep techno-functional orientation with familiarity of hyperscaler ecosystems (Azure/ AWS/ GCP), major Tech OEMs (IBM/ Cisco/ SAP/ Dell/ HP/ Intel/ NVIDIA/ VMware/ AMD), partner/HCL platforms, and understanding of co-sell frameworks to ensure solution alignment with vendor roadmaps while guiding junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

Own a portfolio of modernization opportunities from qualification through close and delivery.

Lead pursuit teams: shape win themes, orchestrate Solution Architects, price engagements, and present to client buyers.

 

Ensure adherence to architectural principles, coding standards, best practices in model development, versioning, testing, and validation. Conduct architectural reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure solution integrity and quality.

Partner with Enterprise Architects and Solution Architects to translate technical solutions into compelling commercial narratives.

Act as the executive sponsor for active engagements, managing escalations and steering committees. Develop and maintain client relationships at the director and VP level

Contribute to practice development: case studies, GTM motions, partner co-selling. Integrate GenAI tooling across the full SDLC: requirements, design, code generation, testing, security scanning, and documentation

 

Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities to drive sustainable revenue growth. Drive pipeline growth by identifying, shaping, and advancing high-value opportunities across key accounts.

Establish AI-augmented CI/CD pipelines that include automated regression, semantic diff, and migration validation gates. Define branching strategies, migration-as-code patterns, and rollback playbooks for high-risk legacy cutover events

Designs and implements scalable AI systems or reusable accelerators across functions. Operates autonomously in ambiguous problem spaces and mentors others in best practices. Delivers end-to-end AI prototypes or enablement assets with minimal guidance. Independently integrates models, data pipelines, or APIs to solve defined problems

Skill Requirements

10–14 years of consulting, professional services, or client-facing technology leadership.

Demonstrated ability to close /$1M+ engagements in cloud, modernization, or digital transformation.

Strong credibility as a former practitioner — can hold a technical conversation with client architects.

Excellent commercial acumen: pricing models, margin management, risk transfer, and contract structuring.

Fluency in the GenAI-enabled modernization narrative and the AI Force AI Workbench value proposition.

Integrate GenAI tooling across the full SDLC: requirements, design, code generation, testing, security scanning, and documentation

Establish AI-augmented CI/CD pipelines that include automated regression, semantic diff, and migration validation gates

Define branching strategies, migration-as-code patterns, and rollback playbooks for high-risk legacy cutover events

Champion shift-left testing and observability practices in newly modernized platforms

Other Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

Existing relationships with hyperscaler field teams (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Industry vertical specialization with named accounts.

MBA or equivalent business credential.

 

GTM & Evangelism Contribution

Own an individual sales quota and contribute directly to practice revenue growth.

Lead pursuit war rooms and competitive deal strategies.

Drive proposal development, executive presentations, and contract negotiations.

Support partner-led opportunities and co-sell motions with hyperscalers and technology partners.

Act as a trusted advisor to clients, helping shape long-term modernization and AI transformation roadmaps.
