Job Summary

As the Principal Data Pre-Sales Architect for the HCLTech Google Business Unit, you will be a visionary leader responsible for a delivering complex enterprise solutions for HCLTech’s enterprise customers. You will lead a team of Solution Architects and Data/AI Specialists. You will drive the technical strategy for "Big Bet" pursuits within Global 2000 (G2000) accounts, focusing on large-scale transformations, modern data estates, and "Agentic AI" architectures.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership & Global Growth

  • Global GTM Strategy: Define and execute the solutions strategy for Data, AI, and Analytics on GCP across multiple regions.
  • Pipeline Partnership: Collaborate with Sales and Cloud Alliance teams to identify and qualify large-scale data and AI opportunities.
  • Revenue Accountability: Own the technical "Win Rate" and contribute to the overall practice revenue targets through multi-million dollar deal closures.

2. Solution Architecture & "Big Bet" Management

  • High-Stakes Bidding & Presentations: Lead executive-level presentations and technical responses for complex RFPs/RFIs as well as proactive solutions for Tier-1 global accounts.
  • Architectural Vision: Design end-to-end architectures for massive application migrations (~ 1000+ apps) and modern data journeys using BigQuery, Vertex AI, and Gemini.
  • Agentic AI Evangelism: Showcase the power of Generative AI patterns, including RAG, fine-tuning, and multi-agent orchestration through custom prototypes built in coordination with Google Cloud CoE.
  • Value Engineering: Translate technical features into tangible business outcomes, such as ROI and TCO reduction.

3. Team Development & Operational Excellence

  • Talent Mentorship: Build and manage a global team of architects, fostering a culture of continuous learning and GCP certification.
  • Asset Creation: Oversee the development of reusable "Pre-Sales Kits," high-impact demos, and whitepapers to accelerate the global sales cycle.

4. Stakeholder & Alliance Management

  • Google Partnership: Maintain strong relationships with Google Cloud technical leadership to influence product roadmaps and secure POC funding.

Executive Presence: Serve as the primary technical advisor to C-suite stakeholders at prospective G2000 organizations.

Skill Requirements

Technical Expertise

  • Data Mastery: Expert-level knowledge of BigQuery, Dataflow, Looker, Dataplex, and "Agentic Data Cloud" concepts.
  • AI/ML Leadership: Vertex AI/ Gemini Enterprise platform expertise, including various LLM Models, Gen AI Studio, ADK, A2A, and techniques such as Prompt Engineering, various ML Algorithms

Cloud Foundation: Deep understanding of GCP infrastructure (Compute, GKE, Networking, Security) and hybrid/multi-cloud transformation strategies

Other Requirements

  • Experience: Overall 15 + years in IT Services/Consulting, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role. A minimum of 8 years as PreSales Architect or Enterprise Architecture is required.
  • Proven Track Record: History of winning /$10M+ deals within the G2000 sector.
  • Communication: Mastery of storytelling and visual communication for complex technical architectures.
  • GSI Familiarity: Deep knowledge of GSI delivery models and the nuances of the Google-Partner relationship.
  • Certifications: Active Google Cloud Professional certifications (Architect, Data Engineer, or ML Engineer).
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related field; MBA is a significant advantage.

Minimum Salary (US):  250000

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year.
