Job Summary

The Senior Technical Lead for AS400 is responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of AS400 projects, ensuring their successful execution, and providing technical guidance to the team. The role involves leading a team of AS400 developers, analyzing requirements, designing solutions, and ensuring the quality and timely delivery of AS400 applications.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and guide a team of as400 developers in the design, development, and implementation of as400 applications.
2. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions on the as400 platform.
3. Conduct code reviews, performance tuning, and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
4. Troubleshoot as400 application issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions to ensure system stability.
5. Manage project timelines, priorities, and resources effectively to deliver as400 projects on schedule.
6. Stay updated with the latest as400 technologies and provide recommendations for improvements or upgrades to enhance system performance.

Detailed JD

5-10 years of development industry experience on CLP/CLLE/RPG/RPGLE/DB2

Proven track records for an AS/400 related application.

Knowledge of DB2 concepts and associated methodologies.

Knowledge of trouble shooting during various phases of support.

1.IBM Certified Developer Associate Developer for IBM I 7.1 or higher is preferred.
