Job Summary

The Onsite Germany Architect for Crypto Key Protect L2 is responsible for architecting, implementing, and supporting advanced cryptographic key protection solutions for enterprise clients. This role acts as a technical leader and subject matter expert in cryptography and key management, providing Level 2 (L2) support, collaborating with client stakeholders, and ensuring the security and compliance of cryptographic systems. 

Key Responsibilities

1. To adhere to quality standards, regulatory requirements and company policies.
2. To provide support for on call escalations and doing root cause analysis of given issue.
3. Work on value adding activities such Knowledge base update & management, Training freshers, coaching analysts.
4. To independently resolve tickets within agreed SLA of ticket volume and time.
5. To ensure positive customer experience and CSAT through First Call Resolution and minimum rejected resolutions / Reopen Cases.

Skill Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of experience in IT security with a focus on cryptography, key management, or hardware security modules (HSMs). Proven experience architecting, deploying, and supporting Crypto Key Protect solutions in enterprise environments. Strong understanding of cryptographic algorithms, protocols, PKI, key lifecycle management, and security standards (e.g., FIPS 140-2/3, GDPR, eIDAS). Hands-on experience with leading HSM platforms (e.g., Thales, Entrust, IBM, Utimaco) and key management services. Expertise in system integration, network security, and secure application development. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Fluent English; proficiency in German is highly desirable.  

Other Requirements

Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or vendor-specific HSM certifications. Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., finance, healthcare, government). Project management and leadership experience in multinational environments. Familiarity with cloud-based key management solutions (e.g., Azure Key Vault, AWS KMS, Google Cloud KMS).  
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional, multicultural team. Attention to detail and commitment to security best practices. Adaptability to fast-paced and dynamic client environments.
