Job Summary
Azure Infrastructure Management
- Manage and support Azure services including:
- Azure Virtual Machines (Windows/Linux)
- Azure Storage Accounts
- Azure Virtual Network (VNet)
- VNet Peering
- Network Security Groups (NSG)
- Azure Load Balancer
- Application Gateway
- Azure Firewall
- Azure Bastion
- Azure DNS
- Azure Backup
- Recovery Services Vault
- Azure Monitor
- Azure Log Analytics
Incident & Problem Management
- Handle P1/P2 critical incidents and major outages.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions.
- Provide L3 support for complex technical issues.
- Work closely with Microsoft support for critical escalations.
Identity & Access Management
- Implement RBAC policies and access governance.
- Configure Conditional Access Policies and MFA.
- Troubleshoot authentication and authorization issues.
Patching & Backup Management
- Manage VM patching using Azure Update Manager.
- Monitor and validate backup jobs.
- Perform restoration and disaster recovery testing.
- Ensure compliance with backup and retention policies.
Networking
- Configure and troubleshoot:
- VNet & Subnets
- VNet Peering
- ExpressRoute
- Site-to-Site VPN
- Private Endpoints
- Load Balancers
- Application Gateway
- Resolve network connectivity and performance issues.
Monitoring & Performance Optimization
- Configure Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Alerts.
- Analyze performance metrics and optimize workloads.
- Implement proactive monitoring and health checks.
- Prepare operational and capacity reports.
Automation & DevOps
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Work extensively on:
- Terraform
- ARM Templates
- Bicep
- Azure Automation
- PowerShell
- Automate repetitive operational activities.
Security & Compliance
- Implement Azure security best practices.
- Azure Policy
- Key Vault
- Support audits, vulnerability remediation, and compliance reporting.
Cost Optimization (FinOps)
- Analyze Azure spend and recommend optimization opportunities.
- Rightsize Azure resources.
- Implement Reserved Instances and Savings Plans.
- Generate cost optimization reports.
Technical Leadership
- Mentor L1 and L2 engineers.
- Conduct technical reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Prepare SOPs, Runbooks, and Operational Guidelines.
- Participate in customer governance reviews and technical discussions.
