Job Title Windows Server Administrator (L1-L2) / Windows Patching Engineer Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Windows Server Administrator to manage Windows server patching, monitoring, basic administration, and infrastructure support activities. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining server health, troubleshooting operating system issues, performing patch deployments, and supporting virtualized infrastructure in an enterprise environment. Key Responsibilities Windows Server Administration · Perform daily health checks of Windows Servers. · Monitor server performance including CPU, Memory, Disk Utilization, and Running Services.· Troubleshoot Windows Server-related incidents and alerts. · Perform routine administrative activities on Windows Server environments. · Manage local users, groups, permissions, and scheduled tasks. · Review system event logs and take corrective actions where required. · Perform server startup, shutdown, and reboot activities during maintenance windows. · Deploy and provision new physical and virtual servers based on approved standards. · Perform server commission\\decommission activities · Basic troubleshooting of Windows Failover Cluster environments. · Monitor cluster health and resource status. · Check cluster node status and service availability. · Perform advanced troubleshooting of Windows Server issues. · Analyze and resolve OS performance bottlenecks. · Troubleshoot high CPU, memory leaks, disk latency, and service failures. · Investigate system crashes, BSOD (Blue Screen of Death), and unexpected reboots.· Troubleshoot Windows Server-related incidents and alerts. · Perform routine administrative activities on Windows Server environments. · Manage local users, groups, permissions, and scheduled tasks. · Review system event logs and take corrective actions where required. · Perform server startup, shutdown, and reboot activities during maintenance windows. · Deploy and provision new physical and virtual servers based on approved standards. · Perform server commission\\decommission activities · Basic troubleshooting of Windows Failover Cluster environments. · Monitor cluster health and resource status. · Check cluster node status and service availability. · Perform advanced troubleshooting of Windows Server issues. · Analyze and resolve OS performance bottlenecks. · Troubleshoot high CPU, memory leaks, disk latency, and service failures. · Investigate system crashes, BSOD (Blue Screen of Death), and unexpected reboots. Windows Server Patching · Deploy and monitor Windows security and monthly patch updates using enterprise patching tools. · Troubleshoot failed patches and remediation activities. · Validate server availability after patch implementation. · Coordinate patching activities with application and infrastructure teams. · Generate patch compliance and status reports. · Perform pre-patching and post-patching health checks. · Support vulnerability remediation activities. Monitoring & Incident Management · Respond to monitoring alerts related to: o CPU utilization o Memory utilization o Disk space utilization o Windows services o Server availability o Application availability · Perform first-level troubleshooting and escalate when required. · Work on incidents, service requests, and change requests through ticketing tools. · Ensure all tickets are updated regularly and closed within SLA. VMware Administration (Basic) · Perform virtual machine reboot activities. · VM power on/off operations. · Execute vMotion and Storage vMotion activities. · Add or extend virtual disks. · Upgrade VMware Tools. · Check VM performance and resource utilization. · Modify CPU and Memory allocations as per approved requests. · Create snapshots and remove snapshots following standard procedures. · Perform basic VM provisioning activities. · Knowledge of Esxi upgradation\\installation\\Esxi patching. Documentation & Compliance · Maintain operational documentation and SOPs.
