Job Title: PaaS Support Engineer / Platform Support Engineer Job Summary The PaaS Support Engineer is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting cloud-based platform solutions, ensuring high availability, security, and performance for applications. This role involves managing the middleware, runtime environments, and databases in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, OCI) and acting as a technical liaison to resolve complex issues. Key Responsibilities Operational Support: Provide 24x7 (or shift-based) support for production PaaS environments to ensure maximum uptime and performance. Troubleshooting: Analyze and resolve complex technical problems related to cloud services, application deployment, and integrations. Monitoring & Optimization: Actively monitor PaaS platforms (using tools like Splunk, Datadog) to identify issues, analyze metrics, and optimize performance. Incident & Problem Management: Manage high-priority incidents, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), and implement preventative measures. Deployment & Configuration: Support CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) to deploy application updates. Security & Compliance: Ensure platform security, including IAM, encryption, patching, and compliance with standards (e.g., ISO, HIPAA). Documentation: Create and maintain documentation, knowledge base articles, and technical procedures to improve team efficiency. Required Skills & Qualifications Experience: 3-10+ years of hands-on experience in cloud support (IaaS/PaaS) or DevOps. Cloud Platforms: Proficiency in one or more major cloud providers: AWS (Beanstalk, RDS), Azure (Web Apps, SQL), or Oracle Cloud (OIC, VBCS). Technical Skills: Scripting/Automation: Strong knowledge of Python, Shell, or PowerShell. Containerization: Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/AKS).
