Job Summary
The DC Technician (L1) is responsible for executing day-to-day data center operations including monitoring, IMAC activities, asset handling, and access management. The role ensures smooth operation of the white space environment, supports incident response, and maintains compliance with security and operational procedures in a 24x7 banking data center environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform 24x7 monitoring of data center infrastructure and respond to alerts • Log incidents and service requests in ITSM tools and perform first-level troubleshooting • Execute IMAC/R/D activities including rack & stack, cabling, device installation, and decommissioning • Supporting in structured cabling (fiber and copper) and ensure proper labeling standards • Provide vendor escort support and ensure 4-eyes compliance during site access • Manage site access activities including entry logs and access validation • Handle delivery, receipt, and inventory management of IT equipment • Update CMDB and asset records ensuring accuracy and completeness • Support media handling activities including storage, tracking, and disposal • Perform daily data center walkthroughs and maintain housekeeping standards • Assist in audit activities by providing required documentation and support • Maintain shift handover documentation and operational logs • Support preventive maintenance activities in coordination with facility and vendor teams • Ensure adherence to operational procedures, security policies, and compliance standards • Escalate issues to L2 team for complex incidents and critical situations
