Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced L2 optical service provisioning specialist to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end provisioning, activation and advanced troubleshooting of optical network services (e.g. DWDM, OTN, ASON). This role requires deep understanding of optical transmission technologies, network protocols and ability to work independently to resolve complex network issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex configuration and provisioning of optical services on various optical transport equipment’s (Exposure on Nokia 1830 PSS will be added advantage)
- Collaborate with Network design, planning and field operation team to ensure successful service delivery.
- Responsible for end-to-end commissioning of new optical links and ensure all optical parameters are configured properly.
- Execute service turn up procedures, conduct end-to-end testing and ensure service readiness for customer handover.
- Act as an escalation point for L1 Support, help to diagnose and resolve complex optical network issues, service degradation and outages.
- Perform in depth analysis of alarms, performance metrics and service logs to identify and resolve the fault.
- Execute planned network changes, upgrades and migrations on optical network elements with minimal service disruption.
Work closely with internal teams and external vendors to resolve issue and deliver services.

12. Network Security - IPSec VPN, AAA Architecture, TACACS+, RADIUS, firewalls
