Job Summary

Job Description: On-Site Network Engineer Detailed Responsibilities, Requirements, and Candidate Profile given below: Position Overview responsible for supporting the implementation of new technologies and infrastructure projects across both onshore (e.g., Torres Atlântico) and offshore sites (e.g., PSVM, GTP, Ngoma). Ensures the efficient, secure, and integrated operation of all network systems, providing technical expertise in monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities The following are some of the Key responsibilities the candidate will be expected to perform: • Support for New Technologies and Projects: Assist in the rollout and deployment of new network infrastructure and connectivity solutions across various operational sites, including offshore platforms and remote locations. • Network Design and Planning: Collaborate on the design and architecture of LAN, WAN, wireless (Wi-Fi), and software-defined networks (SDN), ensuring scalability, performance, and security. • Installation and Configuration Support: Provide technical assistance in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and other critical network equipment. • Network Monitoring and Maintenance: Utilize tools such as Zabbix, Azure Monitor, PRTG, and UNMS to continuously monitor network health, performance, and availability. • Technology Stack Management: Work with platforms like Fortinet SD-WAN and Cisco ISE to enforce security policies, manage access controls, and ensure centralized and secure network operations. • Troubleshooting and Incident Resolution: Diagnose and resolve network-related issues, communication failures, and service interruptions to ensure minimal downtime and operational continuity. • Technical Documentation: Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation of network infrastructure, configurations, and changes to support audits, troubleshooting, and future expansions. • Strong understanding and hands-on experience with Cisco Routing and Switching, including network configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Working knowledge of Fortinet Firewalls, with familiarity in basic policy configuration and security rule management. Foundational understanding of SD-WAN technologies, including basic deployment, monitoring, and issue resolution. Operational Coverage: • Onshore: Torres Atlântico (Luanda) • Offshore/Remote Sites: PSVM, Greater Plutonio (GTP), Cárvulo/Solenova (Namibe), DS7, Ngoma, Olombendo, Libongos Rig, Refinery, Kwanda Base (Soyo) Start Date: July 5th (The current resource contract is expiring on 15th July’26) Preferably the resource should be ready to start working before 15th July.
