Job Summary

This role provides expert technical leadership in Teradata-based solutions, driving the conceptualization, design, and delivery of advanced data projects. The position leverages deep platform expertise to enable innovation, ensure solution quality, and advance organizational capabilities through team mentorship and technical guidance. The individual acts as a thought leader, shaping delivery standards and promoting best practices to maximize client and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Architect and design scalable data solutions utilizing Teradata and Unix Shell scripting, ensuring robust performance, reliability, and alignment with business requirements.
2. Lead development and optimization of complex SQL queries, ETL processes, and data models in Teradata, providing technical direction and resolving high-impact issues.
3. Serve as a subject matter expert for Teradata platform capabilities, advising internal teams and clients on solution strategies and industry trends.
4. Drive adoption of new Teradata features and integration of emerging technologies, maintaining solution currency and compliance with quality standards.
5. Conduct technical interviews, deliver advanced training, and mentor team members to build deep expertise in Teradata and Unix Shell scripting.
6. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather domain specifications and translate them into actionable Teradata solutions, ensuring technical feasibility and client satisfaction.
7. Develop technical collateral, whitepapers, and market analysis to support competency growth and articulate value propositions for Teradata-based services.
8. Recommend and implement industry best practices in Teradata data management, enabling client value creation and continuous improvement in delivery.

Skill Requirements

1. Expert proficiency in Teradata database design, performance tuning, and advanced SQL programming.
2. Excellent knowledge of Teradata utilities (FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPT) for efficient data loading and extraction.
3. Advanced skills in Unix Shell scripting for process automation and data pipeline integration.
4. Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL frameworks, and analytics within Teradata environments.
5. Strong experience in conceptualizing architectural solutions and driving end-to-end technical delivery.
6. Ability to mentor, lead, and develop team capabilities in Teradata and related technologies.

Other Requirements

1. Recommended: Teradata Certified Professional or Teradata Certified Technical Specialist (optional but valuable for the role).
Maximum Salary (US):  $230000
Minimum Salary (US):  $220000

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
