Job Summary
Network Data L2 resource will be responsible for providing hands-on operational support for enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, routing, switching, load balancing, secure internet access, and network monitoring. The role requires strong troubleshooting capability, ownership of complex incidents, participation in change and problem management, and support for 24x7 network operations.
• Provide L2 operational support for enterprise network infrastructure across LAN, WAN, WLAN, routing, switching, load balancers, proxy/SASE, and security-integrated network environments. • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network incidents related to connectivity, latency, packet loss, routing instability, VLANs, STP, VTP, trunking, wireless access, DNS/DHCP, and application reachability. • Support routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP, including route analysis, failover validation, and issue remediation. • Perform hands-on troubleshooting on Cisco routers, switches, wireless controllers, access points, and related network platforms. • Support load balancer technologies such as F5 and Citrix NetScaler, including basic troubleshooting of VIPs, pools, health checks, and traffic flow issues. • Support secure internet access and remote access technologies such as Zscaler ZIA and ZPA, including policy validation and connectivity troubleshooting. • Perform packet captures and traffic analysis using appropriate tools to identify root cause and support incident resolution. • Monitor network performance, availability, capacity, and utilization trends, and recommend corrective or improvement actions. • Participate in incident management, major incident bridges, problem management, root cause analysis, and service restoration activities. • Execute approved network changes, prepare implementation and rollback steps, and perform post-change validation. • Maintain operational documentation, SOPs, knowledge articles, topology information, and support handover notes. • Coordinate with service providers, OEMs, internal technical teams, and customer stakeholders for issue resolution and service improvement. • Support audit, compliance, configuration review, and network hygiene activities as required. • Participate in 24x7 support model, rotational shifts, weekend support, and on-call support based on business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Strong hands-on experience in Cisco routing, switching, and wireless technologies.\\\\r\\\\n• Good understanding and troubleshooting experience in routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.\\\\r\\\\n• Strong knowledge of LAN switching concepts including VLAN, trunking, STP, VTP, EtherChannel, HSRP/VRRP, and inter-VLAN routing.\\\\r\\\\n• Experience with Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers, access points, SSIDs, authentication, roaming, RF issues, and wireless connectivity troubleshooting.\\\\r\\\\n• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, DNS, DHCP, NAT, PAT, SNMP, HTTPS, SSL, and common application protocols.\\\\r\\\\n• Hands-on exposure to load balancing technologies such as F5 LTM and Citrix NetScaler.\\\\r\\\\n• Experience with Zscaler technologies, preferably ZIA and ZPA.\\\\r\\\\n• Knowledge of network access control and security tools, including Cisco ISE or equivalent NAC platforms.\\\\r\\\\n• Ability to perform packet capture and analysis using tools such as Wireshark, tcpdump, or platform-native capture tools.\\\\r\\\\n• Experience with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, HPOV, NNM, Cisco Prime, DNA Center, or equivalent tools.\\\\r\\\\n• Understanding of ITIL processes including Incident, Change, Problem, and Service Request Management.\\\\r\\\\n
