This role focuses on delivering foundational remote desktop support for MS Windows 2000 environments, ensuring efficient ticket resolution and adherence to service quality benchmarks. The position is responsible for responding to user-reported issues, maintaining compliance with operational standards, and contributing to a positive customer experience through effective communication and problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide basic troubleshooting and resolution for hardware, software, and network issues using MS Windows 2000 tools, adhering to Level 1 support protocols via telephone, email, or chat.
2. Follow established processes in MS Windows 2000 for ticket logging, status updates, and escalation of unresolved incidents to higher-level support teams.
3. Apply fundamental knowledge of MS Windows 2000 to resolve user access, login, and configuration issues within agreed service levels.
4. Maintain accurate records of support activities in MS Windows 2000 ticketing systems, ensuring worklogs are current and complete.
5. Participate in team knowledge-sharing sessions and contribute updates to internal knowledge bases related to MS Windows 2000 support.
6. Comply with defined quality assurance standards, including voice and accent protocols and technical monitoring requirements.
Skill Requirements
1. Basic understanding of MS Windows 2000 operating system functionalities and user environment.
2. Familiarity with remote desktop support tools and ticketing systems.
3. Fundamental knowledge of troubleshooting procedures for hardware, software, and network connectivity within MS Windows 2000.
4. Basic communication and documentation skills for updating logs and interacting with users.
5. Ability to follow established escalation and support processes.
Other Requirements
1. Optional but valuable: CompTIA IT Fundamentals (ITF+) or Microsoft Certified: Windows Operating System Fundamentals.
