Job Summary

This role supports the accurate and timely processing of payments within banking operations. The individual applies foundational knowledge of banking principles and payment systems to ensure transactions are processed efficiently and in compliance with standard procedures. They participate in issue identification, contribute to process enhancements, and assist in generating reports to monitor business performance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Process payments using payment applications by applying foundational knowledge of SWIFT messages (MT202, MT103, MT299, MT191 to MT999), ensuring compliance with established protocols.
2. Validate transaction documentation by verifying cash, cheque, and ACH payment instructions according to internal guidelines.
3. Assist in identifying basic issues within payment processing workflows by reviewing routine transactions and escalating discrepancies as needed.
4. Support the implementation of process improvements by following documented solutions and enhancements within assigned tasks.
5. Prepare basic reports and analyses using payment system data to support business monitoring activities.
6. Collaborate with team members to clarify payment procedures, share information, and address routine queries for smooth transaction processing.

Skill Requirements

1. Foundational Knowledge Of Rb Payments Processing & Transfers And Rb Payments Investigation & Charges.
2. Basic Understanding Of Banking Products, Features, And Core Banking Principles.
3. Familiarity With Swift Message Formats And Their Application In Payment Processing.
4. Initial Learning In Using Payment Applications And Systems For Transaction Management.
5. Basic Document Verification And Comprehension Skills.
6. Fundamental Communication Skills For Effective Team Collaboration.

Other Requirements

1. Optional: Certification in SWIFT Fundamentals or Payments Operations (such as ACI Payments Certification) is valuable but not mandatory at this level.
