Job Summary

HCLTech’s Modern Application Development practice helps clients modernize legacy estates and transform software engineering through AI-Native Development and Agentic AI. We are seeking a Global Solution Architecture Leader to lead the technical strategy for our largest and most complex pursuits, from early opportunity shaping through deal closure and transition to delivery. This role will also build, mentor, and guide a high-performing global team of solution architects.

Key Responsibilities

Presales and Deal Leadership
Own end-to-end presales for large, complex pursuits of $10M+ TCV across Application Modernization, Platform Engineering, AI-Native Engineering, and related areas.
Lead client solutioning workshops to understand modernization needs, shape the right solution approach, and define differentiated win themes.
Build and defend the technical and commercial solution, including architecture, delivery model, staffing, pricing, and risk assumptions, in partnership with sales, delivery, and finance teams.
Solution Architecture
Lead the design of end-to-end AI-native and agentic solutions across software delivery, testing, modernization, SRE, cloud-native architecture, microservices, and DevOps engineering.
Own solution governance, including architecture reviews, risk sign-off, responsible AI considerations, and agent guardrails.
Practice and Capability Building
Work with practice teams to build reusable solution frameworks, reference architectures, and estimation and pricing models, including models that reflect AI-native productivity gains.
Mentor a global presales and solution architecture team, while tracking competitor moves, hyperscaler developments, and trends across the agent ecosystem.
Stakeholder Management
Serve as a trusted advisor to client CTOs and CIOs during the sales cycle.
Partner with sales, delivery, alliance teams, hyperscalers, and agent-framework providers to ensure a smooth handover from deal pursuit to delivery execution.
Candidate Profile
15+ years of experience in IT services or consulting, with at least 5 years in presales, solution architecture, or CTO-office leadership.
Proven track record of winning large, multi-tower global deals of $10M+ TCV.
Strong thought leadership profile, including published articles, whitepapers, open-source contributions, or speaking engagements at industry events such as AWS re:Invent, Microsoft Build, KubeCon, Gartner, or Forrester forums.
Deep expertise in AI-Native Software Development and Agentic AI, including agentic copilots, multi-agent orchestration, autonomous testing, and AI-driven modernization.
Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture across AWS, Azure, and GCP, including microservices, Kubernetes, API management, DevOps, and DevSecOps at enterprise scale.
Strong executive presence, with the ability to ideate, co-create, and present solutions to CXO stakeholders.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Cloud or architecture certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, GCP Professional Cloud Architect, or TOGAF are a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
