Automation Test Lead - Cloud ETL, DW Automation

Job Summary

6-8 Years experience in ETL Testing along with Data Engineer experience. Design and execute comprehensive ETL and data validation test strategies, including manual SQL‑based testing across cloud data platforms. Collaborate closely with data engineers, BI teams, and product owners within an Agile/Scrum environment to ensure data quality and requirement coverage. Identify defects, perform risk‑based testing, and support release readiness through go/no‑go decisions. Leverage strong analytical skills, data warehousing knowledge, and Azure tools to drive continuous improvement and high‑quality data delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Design, execute, and maintain ETL and data validation test cases using advanced SQL across Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, and Azure Synapse.

Perform functional, integration, and regression testing to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and adherence to data warehousing concepts (facts, dimensions, SCD Type 1 & 2).

Analyse business requirements and mapping documents, identify defects, manage defect lifecycle, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Support release management through risk‑based testing, validation of Azure Data Factory pipelines, and go/no‑go recommendations to ensure high‑quality data delivery.
