Azure DevOps Technical Consultant

Job Summary

  • Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, including integration with quality, security, and compliance management tools and services.
  • Practical experience deploying applications to IIS, AKS, and ASE, as well as deploying databases on Azure SQL MI and Azure SQL DB.
  • Working experience using GitHub Copilot and other AI-assisted tools for day-to-day DevOps engineering tasks.
  • Ability to implement effective monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure the availability, performance, and reliability of applications and infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps processes, procedures, and tools, including GitHub/GitHub Actions and ADO/ADO Pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with YAML, Terraform, and PowerShell/Python scripting, along with familiarity with the application technology stack (.NET, Angular, NuGet, NPM, etc.).
  • AI tools as part of day-to-day DevOps work,
  • Able to explain how infrastructure layers are set up to host and route HTTP requests from the browser.

Key Responsibilities

1. Implement devops solutions on azure platforms.
2. Collaborate with development and operations teams to improve deployment frequency and reduce lead time.
3. Implement automation strategies for provisioning, configuration, and application deployment.
4. Monitor and optimize the performance of azure infrastructure and devops tools.
5. Troubleshoot technical issues related to devops processes and toolsets.
6. Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements in devops practices.
7. Provide technical guidance and training to internal teams on azure devops best practices.

Skill Requirements

1. Proficiency in azure cloud services and azure devops tools.
2. Strong knowledge of ci/cd pipelines, automation tools, and version control systems.
3. Experience with scripting languages such as powershell, python, or bash.
4. Familiarity with containerization technologies like docker and kubernetes.
5. Understanding of infrastructure as code (iac) principles using tools like terraform or arm templates.
6. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in complex devops environments.
7. Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross functional teams.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Other Requirements

1.Azure DevOps Engineer Expert certification is preferred.
