Job Summary

• Setting up backup policies, storage, and schedules within the backup platforms(Unitrends , Veeam , Rebricks).
• Daily checks on job status, storage health, and performance
• Resolving backup failures, errors, and performance bottlenecks.
• Executing restores for users and validating backup integrity through test restores.
• Deploy and configure Unitrends appliances.
• Install and manage Unitrends agents across multiple environments (Windows, Linux, VMware, Hyper-V, AIX, Solaris, Mac) for file-level, image-level, host-level, and bare-metal backups.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities :

• 12+ years of backup administration experience in large enterprise environment.
• Design, schedule, and execute backup and copy jobs.
• Monitor daily jobs—including system, active, and recent jobs—addressing failures, errors, and performance issues promptly.
• Troubleshoot backup failures, perform root cause analysis, and escalate complex issues when necessary.
• Apply updates, perform role-based configuration, and implement security patches/upgrades.
• Generate and distribute reports on backup status, storage utilization, and recovery readiness.
• To provide support for on call escalations and doing root cause analysis of given issue and independently resolve tickets within agreed SLA of ticket volume and time ,adhere to quality standards, regulatory requirements and company policies , Knowledge base update & management, Training freshers, coaching analysts
•  Knowledge  of  AWS S3, Active Directory ,Windows /VMWare and database 

• Strong communication skills and should have ability to work independently.
