Job Summary

To build a strong Business Continuity Management culture within the assigned functions / regions, so as to enable the organization to adapt and become more resilient and effective in dealing with disruptive events

Key Responsibilities

Role Description – Task and Responsibilities

 

Provide leadership for BCM and Crisis Management for Lines of Business and Functions, by ensuring at minimum the following:

  • Lead implementation of BCM and Crisis Management lifecycle activities on an ongoing basis
  • Lead and drive BCM design, strategy implementation and exercising as part of delivery model across the LoB / Function
  • Ensure high level of compliance to the organization’s Resilience Policy
  • Engage and work together with LoB Leadership to develop strategies for Business Continuity Management and Crisis Management that are suitable and appropriate for the business across its locations and various customers
  • Lead Crisis response coordination for LoB(s) / Function(s)
  • Analyze, collate and review along with leadership the risk mitigation efforts / closure of audit findings
  • Ensure HCL and Customer policies are always adhered to during BCP situations
  • Represent the team during governance meetings, and customer meetings, visits, & audits
  • Monitor and report BCM program compliance to Risk and Compliance, and LoB / Function leadership
  • Drive implementation of business continuity education, training, and awareness in the LoB / Function
  • Lead testing of business continuity and crisis management arrangements across complex scenarios
  • Lead Sales and Business Development support activities for the team
  • Review and monitor major incident reports provided by the BCMS Leader, together with the results of any investigation carried out
Identify areas of improvement and lead strategic process improvement projects for the team

Skill Requirements

Mandatory* Domain knowledge, Skills & Exposure

  • Own the governance, maintenance, and sustenance of Business Continuity Management System across the organization
  • Subject Matter Expertise in BCM, Crisis Management, Resilience, Risk & Compliance domains
  • Have multi-faceted experience in Risk Management related program implementation in multiple domains (Infrastructure services, BFSI, Healthcare will be preference)
  • Should have sound knowledge of IT Disaster Recovery Program and Cyber related Business Continuity Planning
  • Good understanding and exposure to business operations in IT Application Support and Maintenance, Infrastructure, Business Services, and Products & Platforms
  • Be a self-starter with good interpersonal skills and ability to work with multiple teams from Delivery and Enabling Functions across locations, geographies, and engagements
  • Hands-on experience leading Crisis Management and response at a functional / location / site level
  • Ability to work with multiple senior stakeholders to design programs that meet the requirements of the organization & strengthens the resilience posture and are aligned to business needs.
  • Ability to logically convince stakeholders to take necessary actions. Work closely with Senior leaders and drive activities to successful completion
  • Have experience leading and directly supervising 5-10 people
  • Experience in preparing reports, conduct analysis and present to various stakeholders
  • Excellent Negotiation and Conflict Management skills
  • Good Customer Service skills

Ability to work under pressure and extended hours during Crisis events

Mandatory Experience*

  • At least 10 years work experience in ITES Industry
  • At least 5 years work experience in lifecycle implementation of Business Continuity Management and Crisis Management – Lead Role or Direct Support to Senior Management
  • At least 5 years work experience in Risk Management related program implementation in multiple domains (Infrastructure services, BFSI, Healthcare will be preference)
  • Experience in Customer/Auditor interfacing

Hands-on experience leading Crisis Management and response at a functional / location / site level
