Job Summary
Lead enterprise-scale quality engineering for mission-critical, regulated banking platforms — owning test strategy, automation-first transformation, data and cloud migration assurance, release governance and executive reporting across large multi-stream programs and global engineering teams
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute enterprise Quality Engineering and DevSecOps strategy across core banking, payments, financial crime and enterprise data platforms.
- Lead and scale global QE organizations (300+ engineers, test directors, engineering managers) supporting delivery squads across onshore/offshore models.
- Drive automation-first testing embedded in CI/CD pipelines, sustaining ~90% automation coverage and adopting AI-enabled testing (intelligent regression optimization, AI-assisted scripting).
- Own assurance for data and cloud transformation — ETL/ingestion validation, lineage, reconciliation, completeness and timeliness across on-prem to cloud (Cloudera CDP / AWS) migrations.
- Chair test and release governance forums, providing executive risk dashboards, release-readiness insights and regulatory assurance; managing environments, vendors, budgets and partner delivery.
Skill Requirements
- Domain: Banking/BFSI — payments (NPP/real-time settlement), cards, digital channels, fraud detection, financial crime and regulatory compliance.
- Quality Engineering: Enterprise test strategy, E2E integration, performance, resilience and business/UAT readiness testing.
- Automation & DevSecOps: Automation frameworks, CI/CD pipeline integration, automated deployment, AI-assisted test optimization.
- Data & Cloud: Data warehouse/ETL validation, Cloudera CDH–CDP migration, AWS cloud services, hybrid environment strategy.
- Leadership: Large global team leadership, executive stakeholder influence, vendor/contract and financial management, governance and reporting
Other Requirements
25+ years in IT with substantial time in enterprise testing leadership within regulated banking environments
Multi-stream, high-risk programs under regulatory scrutiny; 70+ system integration landscapes
