DataStage Senior Technical Lead

Job Summary

The Senior Technical Lead will be responsible for leading technical teams and implementing projects utilizing IBM Infosphere DataStage Suite, SQL, Oracle PL/SQL, and Unix Shell Scripting. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining complex ETL processes and databases while ensuring high performance and reliability of data workflows.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead technical teams in the implementation of projects using ibm infosphere datastage suite, sql, oracle pl/sql, and unix shell scripting.
2. Design, develop, and optimize etl processes to extract, transform, and load data efficiently.
3. Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
4. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
5. Perform code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and ensure best practices are followed.
6. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to data processing and integration.
7. Monitor system performance and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
8. Stay updated with industry trends and technologies to recommend innovative solutions for continuous improvement.

Skill Requirements

  • Broadcom Clarity PPM: Hands-on experience with Broadcom Clarity for project portfolio management, including configuration, data model design, reporting, and integration and Proficiency in Gel Script, XOG file manipulation, Clarity OOTB Rest API, and Clarity AI
  • Oracle: Strong proficiency in Oracle Database (SQL, PL/SQL) for complex querying, stored procedure development, performance tuning, and comprehensive data management.
  • Java: Solid knowledge of Java development, specifically for creating and maintaining data input/output feeds and other enterprise-level applications.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Capabilities: Demonstrated ability to perform in-depth analysis of complex business requirements and effectively translate them into robust technical solutions.
  • UNIX System Operations: Proficient in UNIX, with strong skills in log analysis and system troubleshooting.
  • DevOps & Version Control: Familiarity with Artifactory and Version Control systems (BitBucket).
  • Collaboration Tools: Proficient with Confluence, JIRA, and SharePoint.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with excellent communication, to effectively interact with stakeholders.
