Job Summary

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop packaging solutions (cartons, labels, inserts, pallets, etc.) based on product and customer requirementsAnalyze packaging requirements, including protection, cost, sustainability, and manufacturabilityCreate 2D/3D packaging designs using CAD tools and prepare detailed engineering drawingsDevelop prototypes and conduct testing to validate packaging performance under transportation and handling conditionsPerform cost analysis and identify opportunities for packaging optimization and cost reductionSelect appropriate packaging materials considering durability, cost, and environmental impactCollaborate with cross-functional teams (design, manufacturing, sourcing, quality, and suppliers)Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specificationsReview and improve existing packaging designs for performance and efficiencySupport problem-solving for packaging-related issues and implement corrective actionsRequired SkillsStrong knowledge of packaging materials (corrugation, plastics, labels, foam, etc.)Experience in CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, , etc.)Understanding of packaging testing standards and ISTA guidelinesCost optimization and value engineering mindsetGood understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain constraintsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsEffective communication and stakeholder managementQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering / Packaging Engineering / Industrial Engineering4–8 years of relevant experience in packaging design and development
