Job Summary

The Design Lead at HCL is responsible for overseeing Packaging and Shipping Design projects and utilizing CAD Design skills, specifically AutoCAD. The primary goal is to lead the design team in creating innovative packaging solutions that meet client requirements and shipping standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and manage the design team to ensure timely delivery of packaging and shipping design projects.
2. Develop packaging designs that are efficient, cost-effective, and meet shipping regulations.
3. Utilize cad design skills, particularly autocad, to create detailed drawings and models for packaging prototypes.
4. Collaborate with cross functional teams to align packaging designs with product specifications and branding guidelines.
5. Conduct quality checks on packaging designs to ensure durability, functionality, and visual appeal.
6. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in packaging and shipping design.

Skill Requirements

1. Proficiency in packaging and shipping design concepts, including knowledge of materials, dimensions, and shipping regulations.
2. Strong cad design skills with expertise in autocad for creating 2d and 3d designs.
3. Ability to interpret technical drawings and translate them into viable packaging solutions.
4. Excellent project management skills to oversee multiple design projects simultaneously.
5. Good communication skills to interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders effectively.
6. Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities to develop innovative packaging designs.
7. Attention to detail and accuracy in design execution to meet client expectations.

Other Requirements

1.Relevant certifications in Packaging Design, CAD Design, or Autocad are a plus.
