Job Summary
Qualification, Experience and Competency requirements:
- Preferred Education - B.E./B.Tech Electrical/Automotive Engineering with Automotive Industry experience
Preferred Experience:
Essential:
- 4-8 years of relevant experience in Design & Developing automotive wiring harness
- Experience in Design and Development of Wiring Harness – LV & HV
- Hands on Experience in Capital XC & Capital Logic
- Good knowledge in Electrical components, Architecture, and splice Balancing etc.,
- Cross functional experience in Design and program management will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge in Automotive Quality Systems (DFMEA, PPAP, DVP&R, etc...)
Roles & Responsibilities (Not limited to)
- Good Knowledge in Create wiring harnesses 2D drawing using tools like Capital Logic, Capital Harness XC, CHS Modular strategy.
- Develop best practices, process flows, and documentation for harness design using Capital.
- Participate in design reviews and ensure adherence to project requirements and standards.
- Support integration of Capital Harness with other systems such as PLM and CAD tools.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and vehicle/equipment wire harness architecture.
- Root cause analysis on issues reported from validation builds.
- Assist design engineers in using Capital tools efficiently for electrical/wire harness design and documentation.
- Validate 2D drawings based on Customer specific Requirement & Standards.
- Responsible to ensure parts / drawings match the models (Model is Master).
- Good knowledge in harness components like connectors, wires, relays, fuses & protections etc.,
- Perform and resolve Design Rule Check errors.
- Support the design of wiring diagrams, schematics, and harness layouts using Capital tools.
- Validate harness designs for completeness, manufacturability, and compliance with customer standards.
- Ensure data consistency between design outputs and manufacturing documentation.
- Responsible to ensure ECN/ECR/FETE are clearly written and meet all requirements.
- Confirm / understand / validate the change is necessary for the vehicle.
- Conduct FPSO (first piece sign off).
- Support vehicle/component DFMEA / DVP / Design Rule activity.
- Review and validate the supplier DFMEA and DVP.
- Identify and confirm related Vehicle Functions (VF) requirements are met.
- Support complexity chart (EEHD).
- Knowledge in any of the HV Harness Global Standards (ISO/SAE/ECE) must.
- Experience in OEM in design, development, testing, validation, and release of HV Cables in specific Product Lifecycle Management is must.

4. Establish And Maintain Design Standards, Guidelines, And Best Practices For Harness Design, Ensuring Consistency And Quality Across All Projects.
5. Stay Informed On Industry Trends And Emerging Technologies In Harness Design, Driving Innovation And Excellence Within The Design Team And Enhancing Overall Project Outcomes.

2. Solid Understanding Of Electrical Cabling, Schematics, And Power Distribution Methodologies.
3. Proficiency In 3D Routing Software And Electro-Mechanical Packaging Techniques.
