Job Summary

The Design Lead is responsible for overseeing the design team focused on UC and uP based design, setting design standards, and contributing to the overall design strategy. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to align design efforts with business objectives, ensuring the delivery of innovative design solutions that meet the needs of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

1. Collaborate With Key Stakeholders To Understand Business Objectives And Integrate Design Thinking Into Uc And Up Based Software And Product Development.
2. Lead A Team Of Designers By Providing Technical Guidance In Uc And Up Based Design Principles, Ensuring The Delivery Of High-Quality Design Solutions That Align With Business Goals.
3. Present Design Concepts And Strategies Utilizing Uc And Up Technologies To Stakeholders, Gather Feedback, And Iterate On Designs Based On Input.
4. Establish And Maintain Design Standards, Guidelines, And Best Practices Specific To Uc And Up Based Design, Ensuring Consistency And Quality Across Projects.
5. Stay Abreast Of Industry Trends And Emerging Technologies In Uc And Up Design To Drive Innovation And Maintain Excellence In Design Practices.

Skill Requirements

  1. Hardware design & development, System & Functional Requirements understanding & identify Hardware/Electrical requirement, Clarifications with the customer and cross functional team. Interaction & technical support with Onsite & offshore Hardware & cross functional team.
  2. Solid experience for electrical new design, existing design changes. Design calculation & analysis, Schematic circuit design, PCB & Gerber review in Mentor Expedition tool. Component selection, Writing Hardware verification test protocol & HW verification with board bringup. failure debug and work with system level understanding mindset, Knowledge on Hardware requirements
  3. Reliability, DFMEA, FMEA, Power Integrity Analysis, Thermal Analysis, DC-AC analysis, Derating Analysis, SI Analysis, Obsolescence & Lifecycle Analysis, GAP Analysis, Risk Analysis 
  4. Exposure of EMI-EMC, Safety standard as per medical devices, Ability to conduct EMI-EMC, Safety testing, Ability to prepare rationale 
  5. Review the work products, documents and mentoring Junior team members in technical aspect
  6. Follow medical devices design process with Adaptation for Self learning & self motivated with Agile mindset
  7. Activity tracking and monitoring. Status reporting to customer & cross team during status meeting & other technical meeting 
  8. Quick learner for customer medical process as well as HCL process
  9. Knowledge of PLM tools like Teamcenter, SAP, Polarion, Quality Center

Other Requirements

1. Optional But Valuable Certifications: Certified Embedded Systems Engineer (Cese), Certified Professional In Embedded Systems (Cpes).

2. Effective Communication & Presentation Skill (spoken & written), Requirement understanding, Articulation
