Key Responsibilities
Roles & Responsibilities
- Support various activities of the NPI process for transition into manufacturing
- Design and build fixtures for manufacturing sub-component testing
- Develop, implement and maintain operational methods in the manufacturing of sub-assemblies
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts and 8D problem solving as needed
- Support the internal and external quality process and corrective actions
- Reduce production labor and material cost while improving efficiency and utilization
- Utilize the Engineering Change Order and Engineering Change Request system for the business unit
- Work with outside suppliers on outsourcing activities
- Work with manufacturing personnel to investigate and correct manufacturing, documentation and component problems as they arise
Skill Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, other engineering disciplines will be considered
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience
- Ability to understand and work with schematics, assembly drawings, and BOMs
- Capable of using Inventor or other 3D modeling software (Solidworks/Creo)
- Experience in debugging mechanical and electrical problems
- Demonstrated hands-on experience working and supporting manufacturing
- Ability to respond professionally to common inquiries or complaints from customers, suppliers and peers

1. Optional But Valuable Certifications: Certified Manufacturing Engineer (Cmfge), Design For Six Sigma (Dfss) Certification.
