Job Summary

The Harness Designer plays a crucial role in the Architecture/Design work area, focusing on the development of robust harness solutions that align with project specifications. Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct Thorough Analysis Of User Needs And System Specifications To Define Requirements For Harness Designs.
2. Develop Detailed Design Specifications And Documentation For Harness Components, Including Wiring Schematics And Interface Connections.
3. Create Prototypes Of Harness Layouts And Configurations To Illustrate Functionality, Gather Feedback, And Iterate On Designs Based On User And Stakeholder Input.
4. Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams To Ensure Cohesive And User-Friendly Designs That Meet Electrical And Mechanical Integration Standards.

Skill Requirements

1. Basic Understanding Of Harness Design Principles And Electrical Cabling Techniques.
2. Familiarity With Design Tools Such As Cad Software For Creating Schematics And 3D Routing.
3. Fundamental Knowledge Of Power Distribution Concepts And Electro-Mechanical Packaging Considerations.

Other Requirements

1. Optional But Valuable Certifications: Certified Professional In Engineering Management (Cpem), Certified Electrical Design Technician (Cedt).
