Job Summary
The Technical Architect - Azure AD plays a critical role in conceptualizing, designing, and delivering solutions that leverage Azure Active Directory. This position is pivotal in ensuring that the team meets defined scopes and standards, while also addressing client requirements through innovative technology solutions. The architect will lead the development efforts and mentor team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and adaptation to advancements in technology.We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect – Identity & Access Management to lead the migration of the SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ) platform from the existing on-premises datacentre to Microsoft Azure. The Solution Architect will define the target architecture, migration strategy, technical governance, risk management approach and deployment roadmap to ensure a secure, scalable and resilient Identity Governance platform. The role requires extensive experience in SailPoint IdentityIQ architecture, Microsoft Azure, Active Directory, PKI and enterprise datacentre migration programs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Architect And Design Azure Active Directory Solutions That Meet Product And Sustenance Delivery Standards, Ensuring Scalability And Security.
2. Train And Mentor Team Members In Azure Active Directory Practices, Fostering An Environment Of Knowledge Sharing To Mitigate Delivery Risks.
3. Gather Requirements And Specifications To Deliver Tailored Azure Ad Solutions For Client Organizations, Ensuring Alignment With Business Objectives And Technical Feasibility.
4. Ensure Ongoing Knowledge Enhancement By Exploring New Azure Technologies, Maintaining The Quality And Relevance Of Solutions In Response To Evolving Client Needs.
Define the target architecture for migrating SailPoint IdentityIQ from the on-premises datacentre to Microsoft Azure.
Assess the existing IdentityIQ environment and recommend the migration strategy for infrastructure, application, database and integration components.
Lead architecture workshops with customer stakeholders to finalize migration principles and technical standards.
Review infrastructure readiness, network connectivity, firewall rules, DNS configuration, load balancers, SSL certificates and security controls.
Define migration, cutover, rollback and disaster recovery strategies to minimize business disruption.
Provide architectural guidance for migrating IdentityIQ application servers, databases, connectors, scheduled jobs and enterprise integrations.
Review Active Directory, LDAP, PKI and enterprise application integrations for Azure compatibility.
Lead architecture reviews, design governance and technical decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
Identify technical risks, dependencies and mitigation plans.
Support SIT, UAT, production deployment and post-production stabilization.
Review HLD, LLD, migration runbooks, rollback procedures and operational documentation.
Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards, IAM governance policies and customer architecture principles.
