Domain Architect - CheckPoint PPC (Software), Cloud Security

Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled Governance Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the Network Security domain. The role will be responsible for validating requests and changes within the network security area to ensure compliance with defined security policies. This is an individual contributor role that requires previous experience in network security, including knowledge of security best practices, policy review and compliance, governance, and an understanding of the current threat landscape. Strong soft skills are a necessity for this role, as it involves daily interactions with colleagues from various business and technical operations teams. The ability to communicate effectively, collaborate, and build relationships is crucial. Additionally, an open mindset and autonomy are essential qualities for success in this position. Roles & Responsibilities: Validate service requests related to Firewall, Proxy, WAF, Micro-segmentation and NAC against defined security policies. Review network architecture and recommend changes to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CIA) of network components. Assess Network Security Operation team\'s requests against security policies, identifying and addressing any issues or risks. Guide requestors to follow security standards defined by the organization for compliance if deviations are identified in requested policies. Identify non-compliant firewall rules and collaborate with the application and operations teams to remediate them according to security standards. Handle exception processes and ensure accurate tracking within designated systems. Liaise with policy requestors and implementors to ensure clear understanding and alignment. Provide necessary reports as required. Requirements: 10+ years of experience in the Network Security domain, OT environment and specializing in Governance and operations. Understanding of risk assessment processes and evaluation. Proficiency in at least 4 of the following areas: Firewall, WAF, Proxy, NAC, Micro-segmentation and governance (Palo Alto, Checkpoint, F5, Netskope, Guardicore). Knowledge and hands-on experience with NAC and solutions such as Tufin/Algosec, Cloud is a plus. Broad security mindset with previous Security Governance experience. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively describe risks, advocate for exceptions, or articulate needs. Demonstrated autonomy and the ability to work independently. Security certifications such as CISSP and network security certifications.
