Job Summary

Job Summary : The Axway Managed File Transfer (MFT) Engineer is responsible for designing, architecting, and building secure, scalable file transfer solutions using Axway MFT Suite (SecureTransport, CFT, B2Bi, API Gateway). The role focuses on translating business and integration requirements into robust technical designs and implementing them in alignment with enterprise security and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities : Key Responsibilities 1. Design & Architecture Design end-to-end MFT solutions using Axway SecureTransport, CFT, or B2Bi Define file transfer workflows, protocols (SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, AS2), and routing logic Develop high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) architecture Create capacity planning and performance design models Define security architecture (encryption, certificates, SSH keys, PGP) 2. Build & Configuration Install and configure Axway SecureTransport / CFT / B2Bi gateways Configure: Endpoints (partners, internal systems) Virtual folders, mailbox routing Transfer policies and scheduling Implement automated workflows and file processing rules Configure protocol adapters (SFTP, HTTPS, AS2, PeSIT) Set up user authentication and authorization (LDAP/AD integration) 3. Security & Compliance Implementation Implement SSL/TLS certificates, SSH keys, PGP encryption/decryption Configure audit logging, non-repudiation (for B2B/AS2 transfers) Ensure compliance with: Banking/financial regulations (if applicable) GDPR / data protection standards Conduct secure configuration baseline setup 4. Integration & Automation Integrate Axway MFT with: Core banking systems / enterprise applications Middleware (ESB, API Gateway, MQ, Kafka) Develop scripts (Shell, Python) for: Automation of transfers File validation and transformation Enable event-driven file transfer workflows 5. Testing & Validation Perform: Unit testing of file transfer flows Connectivity testing (partner endpoints) Performance and volume testing Validate failover and DR scenarios Ensure end-to-end data integrity 6. Documentation Prepare: Solution Design Document (SDD) Low-Level Design (LLD) Configuration and runbooks Document: Transfer workflows Security configurations Integration points 7. Collaboration Work with: Business analysts for requirements clarification Infrastructure teams for servers/network setup Security teams for audit and compliance Coordinate with partner onboarding teams

Skill Requirements

Skill Requirement : Required Skills & Expertise Technical Skills Strong experience with: Axway SecureTransport / CFT / B2Bi File transfer protocols: SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, AS2, PeSIT Security: SSL/TLS, SSH, PGP encryption OS: Linux/Unix administration Scripting: Shell / Python Integration Skills Experience with: API integrations Message queues (MQ/Kafka) Enterprise middleware Design Expertise Solution architecture & design patterns High availability and disaster recovery Performance tuning

Other Requirements

Other Requirement : Preferred Qualifications Experience in Banking / Financial Services (ING-like environment) Knowledge of ITIL processes Exposure to DevOps / CI-CD pipelines Certifications in Axway or MFT tools
