Job Summary
The CoE – Robotics & Drones is a global Center-of-Excellence role responsible for defining, standardizing, and governing the use of robotics and unmanned systems within AI-ready and hyperscale data centers.
This role serves as the technical authority for robotic inspection, autonomous monitoring, and drone-based assessment capabilities that improve safety, speed, and operational reliability in mission-critical environments.
The position establishes global frameworks for deploying ground robotics and aerial drones to support facility inspections, thermal analysis, security patrols, and operational intelligence.
The role supports smart hands services, remote inspections, and predictive maintenance programs where human access is constrained or risk-prone.
This is a strategic role shaping how AI data centers leverage autonomous systems for safer, faster, and more reliable operations
Key Responsibilities
- Define and govern global robotics and drone adoption strategies for AI and hyperscale data centers
- Develop use cases for robotic and drone-based inspections, monitoring, and assessments
- Design autonomous and semi-autonomous inspection workflows for server halls, rooftops, and critical infrastructure
- Establish standards for robotic navigation, obstacle avoidance, and operational safety
- Integrate thermal, visual, acoustic, and environmental sensors into inspection workflows
- Define drone-based inspection models for external infrastructure and hard-to-access areas
- Develop procedures for hotspot detection, airflow anomalies, water leak identification, and equipment degradation
- Integrate robotic and drone outputs with CMMS and ticketing systems for automated work orders
- Enable data integration with DCIM and Digital Twin platforms for contextual visualization
- Define safety, compliance, and regulatory frameworks for robotic and drone operations
- Define training and certification pathways for operators and supervisors
- Evaluate robotics and drone vendors and emerging technologies
