Job Summary

HCLTech is  seeking a Supply Chain Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support strategy and execution across the end-to-end product lifecycle, integrating physical and digital channels from product development and sourcing to merchandising, fulfillment, and last-mile delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Product Management to define and prioritize Supply Chain capabilities (e.g., vendor management, sourcing optimization, inventory control, demand forecasting, logistics planning). 
  • Translate business needs into detailed user stories and functional requirements; support agile delivery with engineering teams for supply chain applications. 
  • Analyze current supply chain workflows to identify gaps, automation opportunities, and digital enhancements that improve efficiency and reduce lead times. 
  • Facilitate communication between Merchandising, Sourcing, Logistics, and Technology teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of supply chain initiatives. 
  • Assist in defining and monitoring KPIs such as inventory accuracy, supplier lead times, fulfillment speed, and stockout rates; provide actionable insights for continuous improvement. 
  • Offer guidance on supply chain best practices (e.g., vendor compliance, purchase order management, allocation strategies) and assist with application health and incident resolution. 
  • Support adoption of new supply chain features and processes through training, documentation, and governance to ensure smooth implementation and user engagement. 

Skill Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management and technology, with a proven track record of driving transformation across product development, sourcing, planning, and fulfillment. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations, or related field; advanced degree preferred. 
  • Proven expertise in supply chain systems, including Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Demand Forecasting & Planning tools, Sourcing platforms, and Product Lifecycle Management (PLMm etc. 
  • Strong background in end-to-end supply chain processes, including product development, vendor sourcing, purchase order management, merchandising, distribution, and global logistics. 
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with Product Managers, Data Architects, and Engineering teams to support supply chain technology strategy and agile delivery. 
  • Experience providing operational support for supply chain applications, including incident resolution, system monitoring, and performance optimization. 
  • Skilled in business process analysis to identify gaps, automation opportunities, and drive digital transformation across sourcing, planning, and fulfillment workflows. 
  • Ability to interpret supply chain KPIs and operational metrics, such as inventory accuracy, supplier lead times, order cycle times, and transportation costs, to guide continuous improvement. 
  • Excellent communication skills to bridge business and technology stakeholders, translating complex supply chain challenges into actionable outcomes. 
  • Hands-on experience with agile practices, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and feature delivery for supply chain systems. 
  • Expertise in supply chain best practices, including vendor compliance, allocation strategies, sustainability tracking, and global trade compliance. 
  • Facilitation skills for workshops, stakeholder interviews, and collaborative sessions focused on supply chain optimization. 
  • Proficiency in reporting and analytics, including dashboard creation, KPI visualization, and executive presentations. 

Compensation Data

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range Minimum: $141,000 to year

Pay Range Maximum: $218,000 to year

This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
