Job Summary
- Design, develop, and maintain EDI integrations using Vitria or equivalent tools (e.g., IBM Sterling, Cleo, SEEBURGER, BizTalk).
- Develop and manage EDI mappings and transformations between HIPAA EDI formats and flat files, XML, JSON, or internal application formats.
- Implement and support HIPAA healthcare transactions, including:
- 834 – Benefit Enrollment and Maintenance
- 835 – Claims Payment
- 837D – Dental Claims
- 270/271 – Eligibility Inquiry and Response
- Ensure EDI transactions comply with HIPAA, X12 standards, and trading partner specifications.
- Configure and support EDI communications (SFTP, AS2, FTPS, HTTPS).
- Troubleshoot EDI transaction issues, perform root cause analysis, and resolve production incidents.
- Collaborate with business analysts, QA, and trading partners to onboard new partners and implement new EDI flows.
- Monitor EDI jobs, data flows, and batch processes; ensure timely processing and error handling.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, mapping specs, and operational runbooks.
- Support EDI testing cycles, including unit testing, integration testing, and partner certification testing.
- Participate in on-call or production support rotations as required.
