EDI Senior Technical Lead - Sterling Integrator

Job Summary

  • Design, develop, and maintain EDI integrations using Vitria or equivalent tools (e.g., IBM Sterling, Cleo, SEEBURGER, BizTalk).
  • Develop and manage EDI mappings and transformations between HIPAA EDI formats and flat files, XML, JSON, or internal application formats.
  • Implement and support HIPAA healthcare transactions, including:
    • 834 – Benefit Enrollment and Maintenance
    • 835 – Claims Payment
    • 837D – Dental Claims
    • 270/271 – Eligibility Inquiry and Response
  • Ensure EDI transactions comply with HIPAA, X12 standards, and trading partner specifications.
  • Configure and support EDI communications (SFTP, AS2, FTPS, HTTPS).
  • Troubleshoot EDI transaction issues, perform root cause analysis, and resolve production incidents.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, QA, and trading partners to onboard new partners and implement new EDI flows.
  • Monitor EDI jobs, data flows, and batch processes; ensure timely processing and error handling.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, mapping specs, and operational runbooks.
  • Support EDI testing cycles, including unit testing, integration testing, and partner certification testing.
  • Participate in on-call or production support rotations as required.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and manage edi, xml, and sterling integrator projects from inception to completion.
2. Design, develop, and implement integration solutions to meet business requirements.
3. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to edi, xml, and sterling integrator systems.
4. Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure seamless integration across systems.
5. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in edi, xml, and sterling integrator technologies.

Skill Requirements

1. Strong proficiency in electronic data interchange (edi) protocols and standards.
2. Expertise in xml data format and related technologies.
3. In-depth knowledge of ibm sterling b2b integrator and other integration tools.
4. Experience in mapping data between different systems and formats.
5. Solid understanding of system architecture and data flow in integration projects.
6. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
7. Strong communication and leadership abilities to effectively lead technical teams.

Other Requirements

1.Relevant certifications in EDI, XML, or Sterling Integrator technologies are a plus.
