Job Summary

The SAP DVM (Data Volume Management) Consultant is responsible for managing, optimizing, and controlling data growth across SAP landscapes. The role focuses on improving system performance, reducing database size, and ensuring compliance through data archiving and retention strategies in SAP ECC/S/4HANA environments.Key Responsibilities

Archiving progress
Storage optimization benefits7. Compliance & Governance
Ensure compliance with GDPR and other data privacy regulations
Define data retention rules in coordination with legal/compliance teams
Perform audits and documentation of archiving processes8. Stakeholder Collaboration
Work with functional teams (FI, MM, SD, HR)
Coordinate with BASIS, security, and infrastructure teams
Engage business users to validate archiving and retention requirementsStrong experience in:SAP Data Archiving (SARA)
SAP ILM configuration
DVM Work Center / Solution ManagerHands-on with:Archiving objects across modules (HR, FI, MM, SD, CRM etc.)
Functional KnowledgeUnderstanding of key SAP modules:HR
Finance (FI/CO)
Materials Management (MM)
CRM
Sales & Distribution (SD)

Key Responsibilities

1. Administer The Erp System In A Production Environment, Ensuring Optimal Performance And Availability Through Effective Configuration And Maintenance Of The Application.
2. Monitor And Assess The Impact Of New Software Releases, Support Packs, And Kernel Upgrades On The Erp Application And Its Users, Facilitating Seamless Transitions And Enhancements.
3. Manage Database Optimization And Perform Tasks Related To Backup And Recovery Using Tools Like Oracle Database And Sql Server, Ensuring Data Integrity And Availability.
4. Conduct Troubleshooting At Both The Erp And Database Levels, Employing Analytical Skills To Identify And Resolve Issues Efficiently.
5. Train Team Members On Erp Functionalities And Best Practices, Fostering Knowledge Transfer And Enhancing Team Capabilities To Support The Erp System Effectively.

Skill Requirements

1. Expertise In Erp Data Management With A Solid Understanding Of Erp Systems And Their Functionalities.
2. Proficiency In Database Management And Optimization Techniques, Particularly With Oracle Database And Sql Server.
3. Strong Troubleshooting Skills For Erp Applications And Associated Databases.
4. Excellent Communication And Training Abilities To Effectively Convey Complex Information To Team Members.

Other Requirements

1. Relevant Certifications Such As Sap Certified Technology Associate Or Oracle Certified Professional (Optional But Valuable).
