ERP Specialist

Job Summary

• Must possess expertise in Oracle Database Administration within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments.
• Install, configure, upgrade, patch, monitor, and maintain Oracle databases hosted on OCI platforms.
• Manage Oracle Database services including Autonomous Database, VM DB Systems, Exadata Cloud Service, and Base Database Service.
• Perform database backup, recovery, cloning, refresh, and disaster recovery activities using RMAN and Data Guard.
• Monitor database health, storage utilization, performance metrics, and proactively address issues impacting system availability.
• Analyze and resolve database performance issues through SQL tuning, indexing strategies, and database optimization techniques.
• Support database migration projects from on-premise or other hyperscaler environments to OCI cloud platforms.
• Implement database security standards, user access controls, auditing, encryption, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and development teams to support business-critical applications.
• Develop and execute database maintenance plans, patch management activities, and capacity planning initiatives.
• Troubleshoot database incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and disaster recovery runbooks.
• Support high availability configurations using Oracle RAC and Data Guard technologies.
• Must have strong experience in database performance tuning, and troubleshooting in IaaS and PaaS enabled OCI cloud services
• Should be adept in performing cost effective capacity planning of the DB systems.
• Should have experience working in high OLTP environments such as ERP implementations and upgrades
• Nice to have good SQL, PL/SQL, scripting skillsets

Key Responsibilities

1. To administer ERP in production environment
2. To monitor occurrences of new software releases, support packs and kernel upgrades and how these affect the application and users.
3. To manage database optimization, back-up and recovery
4. To perform troubleshooting at the ERP and database level
5. To train and transfer knowledge to the team members
