Job Description :Transportation SpecialistOverall Responsibilities: The Transportation Specialist will be responsible for supporting oure-Commerce Transportation Operation for North America, APAC, EMEA. The specialist will work withcarriers, customers and internal stakeholders to execute daily transportation managementfunctions following documented SOPs and providing status updates to the hiring manager.Daily Responsibilities:1. Track and trace e-Commerce shipments in North America, APAC, EMEA (sales, returns, trade-ins,replacements) to identify possible delays and create action to troubleshoot.2. Analyze weekly and monthly on-time delivery metrics (OTD) for North America.Proactively collaborate with the Transportation carriers for root cause analysis andaction plans.3. Resolve escalations from customers and/or internal stakeholders regarding shipmentstatus all the way until resolution by collaborating with Transportation carriers and otherGoogle teams/functions (customer support, Fulfillment, 3PL).4. Own Transportation system configurations needed to support operations in NorthAmerica.5. Support Transportation requirements for ongoing cross functional Projects.Mandatory Skills/Qualifications:● 10 to 15 years of transportation experience, or warehouse experience. (preferably in parceltransportation)● Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.● Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, SQL and Tableau.● Strong analytical and problem solving experience, combined with strong businessjudgment and an ability to present analysis in a clear and compelling manner;● Able to navigate ambiguity in work to find issues and work with the appropriate teamsto fix/find a solution. ability to follow up with cross functional teams.● Must be detail oriented, and able to work under tight deadlines and with a sense ofurgency.● Outstanding follow-through, time management and planning skills to deliver results.● Able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment as the market develops inunpredictable ways, producing high quality work and projecting a positive attitude.Preferred Skills/Qualifications:● Experience operating within a Transportation Management System (TMS).● Prior experience working with major parcel carriers, such as DHL Express, UPS, andFedEx.● Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (or Google Workspace), withworking knowledge of SQL and Tableau.
