Job Summary

The Hardware Asset Management (HAM) L1 Engineer is responsible for maintaining IT hardware inventory records, supporting asset allocation and recovery activities, processing asset requests, and ensuring accurate tracking of IT assets throughout their lifecycle. The role serves as the first line of support for asset management operations and works closely with Service Desk, Procurement, Logistics, and IT Support teams.

Key Responsibilities

Asset Inventory Management

  • Maintain and update hardware asset records in ITAM/CMDB tools.
  • Perform asset tagging and inventory updates.
  • Ensure accuracy of asset ownership, locations, and status.

Asset Provisioning & Recovery

  • Coordinate issuance of laptops, desktops, monitors, and peripherals.
  • Track asset assignments and returns.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding asset activities.

Request Fulfillment

  • Process hardware allocation requests received through ticketing systems.
  • Coordinate with support teams for asset deployment.
  • Ensure timely closure of asset-related service requests.

Asset Verification

  • Support periodic inventory verification activities.
  • Assist in physical stock audits.
  • Report asset discrepancies to senior team members.
