Job Summary

The Hardware Asset Management (HAM) Engineer is responsible for managing the end-to-end lifecycle of IT hardware assets including desktops, laptops, servers, storage, network devices, peripherals, and associated infrastructure equipment. The role ensures asset accuracy, compliance, governance, optimization, and reporting while supporting enterprise IT operations and financial management.

Key Responsibilities

1. To develop the codes for the project as per work assignation.
2. To maintain the existing project and resolving the issues occurring in the existing project.
3. To work upon the new requests raised by the client and develop those features.
4. Documentation work.

Skill Requirements

Technical Skills

  • Understanding of IT hardware assets (Laptop, Desktop, Server, Network Devices, Printers, Peripherals).
  • Basic knowledge of IT Asset Management (ITAM).
  • Exposure to ServiceNow ITAM/CMDB or similar tools.
  • Ticketing tools experience.
  • Microsoft Excel and reporting skills.
  • Inventory tracking and documentation management.

Soft Skills

  • Good communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work in a process-driven environment.
  • Strong organizational and tracking skills.

Other Requirements

Asset Inventory Management

  • Maintain and update hardware asset records in ITAM/CMDB tools.
  • Perform asset tagging and inventory updates.
  • Ensure accuracy of asset ownership, locations, and status.

Asset Provisioning & Recovery

  • Coordinate issuance of laptops, desktops, monitors, and peripherals.
  • Track asset assignments and returns.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding asset activities.

Request Fulfillment

  • Process hardware allocation requests received through ticketing systems.
  • Coordinate with support teams for asset deployment.
  • Ensure timely closure of asset-related service requests.

Asset Verification

  • Support periodic inventory verification activities.
  • Assist in physical stock audits.
  • Report asset discrepancies to senior team members.

Warranty & Repair Coordination

  • Track warranty details and service requests.
  • Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs and replacements.
  • Update records for repaired or replaced assets.

Documentation & Record Maintenance

  • Maintain asset registers and supporting documentation.
  • Update SOPs, inventory logs, and asset movement records.
  • Ensure compliance with documentation standards.

Reporting Support

  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
  • Support data collection for management reviews and audits.
  • Provide asset status updates to stakeholders.

Compliance Support

  • Follow organizational asset management policies.
  • Assist during internal and external audits.
  • Ensure proper disposal and recovery documentation is maintained.
