Job Summary
L1 Azure Administrator responsible for monitoring, first-level troubleshooting, incident logging, service request fulfillment, and operational support of Azure IaaS and PaaS environments. The role involves supporting Windows and Linux servers hosted on Azure while ensuring adherence to operational processes and SLAs.
Key Responsibilities
Azure IaaS Support
- Monitor Azure Virtual Machines (Windows/Linux).
- Perform basic VM provisioning, start/stop, and health checks.
- Monitor Azure Storage Accounts, Virtual Networks, NSGs, and Load Balancers.
- Escalate infrastructure issues to L2 teams as required.
Azure PaaS Support
- Monitor App Services, Azure Functions, Storage Accounts, and Logic Apps.
- Validate service availability and performance alerts.
- Assist in routine maintenance activities and service health monitoring.
Windows & Linux Administration
- Perform basic user and group management.
- Monitor server health, disk utilization, CPU, and memory usage.
- Support OS patching activities as per documented procedures.
- Troubleshoot common Windows and Linux issues using standard runbooks.
Skill Requirements
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure IaaS services.Basic understanding of Azure PaaS services.Windows Server Administration.Linux Administration (RHEL/Ubuntu preferred).Azure Monitor and Log Analytics fundamentals.Networking basics (DNS, TCP/IP, VPN, NSG, VNET).Incident and Service Request handling.
Other Requirements
Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900).Basic PowerShell or Bash scripting.ITIL Foundation knowledge.Exposure to Azure Backup and Azure Security concepts.
