Job Summary

We are seeking an entry-level Veeam Backup Administrator (L1) responsible for monitoring, managing, and supporting backup and recovery operations using Veeam solutions. The role involves ensuring backup job success, performing basic troubleshooting, and escalating issues as required to maintain data protection SLAs.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor daily backup jobs using Veeam Backup & Replication console Ensure successful completion of backups and replication tasks Perform basic troubleshooting for failed jobs (network, storage, permissions, VM issues) Restart failed backup jobs and validate completion Conduct backup and restore operations for files, VMs, and application data (as per SOP) Escalate complex issues to L2/L3 teams with proper analysis and logs Maintain backup job reports and status updates Verify backup integrity and perform health checks Support DR (Disaster Recovery) drills and basic restore validation Follow defined SLA/KPI targets and ensure compliance Update tickets with proper documentation in ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.) Adhere to security and compliance guidelines

Skill Requirements

Basic knowledge of Veeam Backup & Replication Understanding of VMware / Hyper-V environments Knowledge of backup concepts: Full, Incremental, Differential backups Familiarity with storage (SAN/NAS) basics Basic knowledge of Windows Server environments Understanding of networking fundamentals

Other Requirements

 Good analytical and troubleshooting skills Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Ability to work in 24x7 shift environment Team collaboration and learning attitude
