Role Type

Delivery-focused architecture role for PoI, modernization and migration execution

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect / Migration Architect to support Data PoI initiatives, curate high-value migration and modernization use cases, and lead technical architecture for enterprise data modernization programs.

This is a delivery-focused architecture role requiring hands-on solution ownership, migration execution support, architecture governance, technical risk management, and use-case validation across legacy data platforms and modern cloud data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define PoI technical scope, solution boundaries, target architecture, technical assumptions, and validation criteria.
  • Assess and curate data, reporting, automation, and AI-assisted migration use cases based on business value, feasibility, dependencies, complexity, and data readiness.
  • Architect migration solutions targeting Microsoft Fabric and Azure Synapse, including PySpark, Data Factory, Lakehouse/Warehouse, ADLS Gen2, and Power BI.
  • Define ingestion, transformation, orchestration, monitoring, security, networking, identity, access, and DevOps/code promotion patterns.
  • Lead discovery and migration planning across legacy platforms such as Informatica PowerCenter and SAP BW, including metadata, workflows, reports, data models, source-to-target logic, and system dependencies.
  • Define technical work packages, engineering tasks, migration patterns, architecture guardrails, and acceptance criteria.
  • Validate Azure landing-zone and platform readiness, including access, connectivity, RBAC, private endpoints, networking, security, and environment dependencies.
  • Own technical architecture decisions, design approvals, solution trade-offs, remediation options, and workaround approaches.
  • Apply AI-assisted migration accelerators for discovery, code conversion, documentation, lineage, reconciliation, and validation support; no custom AI model development expected.
  • Define source-to-target reconciliation approach, technical test scenarios, report validation, and UAT acceptance criteria.
  • Review technical deliverables, migrated artefacts, test results, solution quality, performance considerations, and readiness for scale-up.
  • Support technical workshops, solution demonstrations, governance reviews, stakeholder discussions, and architecture decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Required Experience

  • Strong Azure data architecture experience, including landing zones, RBAC, networking, private endpoints, identity, security, and enterprise platform constraints.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, ADLS Gen2, PySpark, and Power BI.
  • Good understanding of legacy data platforms such as Informatica PowerCenter and SAP BW, with deeper experience in at least one.
  • Experience delivering large-scale data migration, ETL modernization, cloud migration, or data platform transformation programs.
  • Experience with source-to-target reconciliation, report validation, technical testing, data quality checks, and UAT support.
  • Experience defining migration patterns, technical architecture, solution design, dependency plans, and architecture guardrails.
  • Knowledge of AI-assisted discovery, code conversion, documentation, lineage, reconciliation, and migration accelerator-based delivery.
  • Experience with Databricks and/or Snowflake is preferred.
