Functional Tester

Job Summary

The Functional Tester plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality of software applications by executing functional tests, identifying defects, and ensuring that all client requirements are met. This position involves meticulous testing of software functionality as per established test plans and specifications, contributing to the overall success of the development team and the satisfaction of our clients.

Key Responsibilities

1. Execute Functional Tests According To The Test Plan And Defined Test Cases, Ensuring That All Functionality Meets Specified Requirements.
2. Update Test Case Execution Status In The Tracking System And Log Defects Accurately To Facilitate Effective Resolution.
3. Collaborate With Team Members To Discuss Testing Progress And Coordinate Efforts, While Providing Timely Updates To Clients Regarding Testing Status.
4. Assist In Creating Comprehensive Test Cases Derived From Functional Specifications And Software Requirement Specification Documents, Ensuring Thorough Coverage Of Functionalities.

Skill Requirements

1. Basic Understanding Of Functional Testing Methodologies And Processes.
2. Familiarity With Test Case Creation And Defect Tracking Tools.
3. Basic Knowledge Of Software Development Lifecycle And Quality Assurance Principles.
4. Strong Attention To Detail And Analytical Skills To Identify Issues Effectively.

Other Requirements

1. Optional But Valuable Certifications: Istqb Foundation Level Certification In Software Testing.
