Job Summary

Must-have Skills

  • Data engineering and development experience or experience in a related role.
  • Experience in SQL and reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Knowledge of Big Data and NoSQL design and development across a variety of data stores, including document, column-family, and graph databases.
  • Knowledge of distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational and non-relational databases.
  • Knowledge of XML/JSON, schema development and reuse, relational database management systems, and open-source technologies.
  • Experience in database development and support for online transaction processing and/or online analytical processing systems.
  • Experience in performance tuning of SQL queries.
  • Experience in distributed systems, algorithms, and application development.

  • Experience in designing and developing across one or more database management systems, including HBase, Hive, GCP tools, NoSQL, Bigtable, and BigQuery, as appropriate.
  • Knowledge of database management system products and ecosystems, including storage formats, access algorithms, data management processes, administration, data maintenance, replication, high availability, and encryption.
  • Knowledge of data modeling tools such as ER/Studio and erwin.
  • Experience in software delivery methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, Agile XP, Test-Driven Development, and Waterfall.
  • Experience in infrastructure design for performance, including network-attached or locally attached storage integration such as Nutanix.
