Job Summary

The GCP Data Architecture Lead is responsible for providing architectural leadership in designing, implementing, and governing advanced data solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role drives the alignment of data architectures with business strategies, leveraging expertise in Google BigQuery, Dataflow, Python, and DevOps to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance data ecosystems. The position ensures technical excellence, compliance with industry standards, and fosters innovation to support organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Architect Enterprise-Scale Data Solutions Using Google Bigquery And Google Dataflow, Ensuring Alignment With Business Objectives And Industry Best Practices.
2. Define And Enforce Data Governance, Security, And Compliance Measures Across Gcp Data Platforms, Leveraging Devops Practices For Automation And Monitoring.
3. Lead The Design And Optimization Of Data Pipelines And Etl Processes Using Python And Dataflow, Ensuring Data Quality, Scalability, And Reliability.
4. Review And Validate Architectural Deliverables, Providing Expert Guidance To Teams On Gcp-Native Data Modeling, Performance Tuning, And Cost Optimization.
5. Drive Adoption Of New Gcp Features And Technologies, Ensuring Continuous Modernization And Relevance Of Data Solutions.
6. Mentor And Develop Technical Teams In Gcp Data Architecture, Fostering Knowledge Sharing And Upskilling To Mitigate Delivery Risks.

Skill Requirements

1. Architectural Leadership In Google Bigquery, Google Dataflow, And GcpNative Data Services.
2. Expert Proficiency In Designing And Optimizing LargeScale Data Architectures On Gcp.
3. Advanced Proficiency In Python For Data Engineering And Automation Tasks.
4. Solid Understanding Of Devops Practices For Ci/Cd, Infrastructure As Code, And Monitoring Within Gcp Environments.
5. InDepth Knowledge Of Data Governance, Security, And Compliance Frameworks Relevant To Cloud Data Platforms.
6. Excellent Ability To Translate Business Requirements Into Scalable And Secure Technical Solutions.

Other Requirements

1. Recommended: Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer Or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect Certification

  • Strong Application Security or DevSecOps Engineer with hands-on experience implementing Secure SDLC for Java/Spring Boot and React/Angular applications.
  • Experience integrating enterprise application security tools such as SonarQube, CodeQL, Checkmarx, Fortify, Veracode, Trivy and OWASP ZAP into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of secure coding practices, OWASP Top 10, threat modeling and vulnerability remediation for modern web applications.
  • Working knowledge of React, Angular and Spring Boot application architecture to effectively identify vulnerabilities and recommend secure code fixes.
  • Proficient in Python-based automation and API integrations.
  • Hands-on experience using GitHub Copilot and/or Gemini Code Assist for AI-assisted secure code review and remediation.
  • Experience deploying and supporting enterprise applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Red Hat OpenShift.
  • Passion for applying AI to improve application security, automate vulnerability management and enhance developer productivity.
