JOB TITLE: GCP Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a hands-on GCP engineer with (2 to 5 years of hands-on experience) deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform and modern data engineering practices. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable cloud-based data solutions, with a focus on BigQuery, AlloyDB, DBT, Cloud Composer, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines. The candidate must be able to implement infrastructure as code, orchestrate cross-service data pipelines, and follow modern development practices such as vibe coding and clean code standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Work hands-on with BigQuery for data warehousing and analytics use cases
  • Develop and manage relational workloads using AlloyDB
  • Build and maintain data transformation pipelines using dbt
  • Orchestrate workflows using Cloud Composer (Apache Airflow) for end-to-end data pipelines across GCP services oneuptime.com
  • Implement infrastructure automation using Terraform
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data and cloud workloads
  • Write efficient SQL queries for data modelling, transformation, and reporting
  • Follow modern development practices including vibe coding and clean code standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality cloud solutions

Skill Requirements

  • Strong foundation in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Advanced SQL skills
  • Hands-on experience with BigQuery
  • Experience working with AlloyDB
  • Strong experience in DBT
  • Workflow orchestration using Composer (Airflow)
  • Infrastructure automation using Terraform
  • Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines

Other Requirements

  • Must be a hands-on developer (no pure coordination roles)
