Job Summary
Design Platform Architecture: Architect the enterprise-wide Windchill environment infrastructure, including server topology, load balancers, and cloud or on-premise deployment frameworks.
Define Enterprise Data Models: Establish the core data schema, including object types, attributes, custom lifecycles, workflows, and strict access control lists (ACLs).
Govern Customization Standards: Set strict development rules for Java extensions and Info*Engine, ensuring custom code does not break future platform upgrades.
Architect Integration Pipelines: Design secure, high-performing integration frameworks between Windchill and ERP/MES systems using ESI, REST APIs, or ThingWorx.
Own Technical Delivery: Provide end-to-end technical leadership to developers and configurators while conducting formal code and configuration reviews.
Strategy for Data Migration: Define the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) strategy using Windchill Bulk Migrator (WBM) to ingest legacy CAD data.
Resolve CAD Dependencies: Architect complex mapping logic to resolve broken parent-child CAD relationships and historical revision rollbacks during migration.
Optimize System Performance: Conduct system tuning, database index optimization, and load testing to ensure fast response times across global sites.
Mitigate Cutover Risks: Formulate the technical roll-back strategies and validation protocols for final system cutover and integration go-live.
Key Responsibilities
2. To spearhead the architecture, design, and development (through a high-performing team) of innovative solutions for product/project & sustenance delivery, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
3. To ensure knowledge up-gradation and work with new technologies so that the solution is current and meets quality standards and the client requirements
4. To review architecture and design deliverables and ensure solutions adhere to industry best practices ,architectural standards simultaneously establish and enforce governance /compliance measures.
5. To train and develop team so as to ensure that there is an adequate supply of trained manpower in the said technology and delivery risks are mitigated
